LEMON MERINGUE PIE

 

 

INGREDIENTS

 

 


14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk

Cup Lemon Juice

1 Tsp Grated Lemon Zest

3 Egg yolks

1 8 in. Graham Pie Shell

Meringue:

3 Egg Whites

Tsp Cream of Tartar

Cup Sugar


 

 

DIRECTIONS PREPARATION TIME: 40 mins

 

In a medium bowl, combine milk, lemon juice, and zest.

Blend in egg yolks.

Pour into crust.

Preheat oven to 325F.

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks appear.

Gradually beat in sugar until stiff.

Spread over filling, sealing to edge of crust.

Bake for 12-15 mins. until meringue is golden brown.
